FAIRMONT -- Elkins placed third among four Big 10 Conference squads Monday at Fairmont Field Club.
The Tigers finished with a 219 and were led by Tanner Miller's 44. Lucas D'Angelo followed with a 54, Danica Riggins a 60, Brooke Tallman a 61, Thomas Mixon a 64 and Cory Harper a 67.
Fairmont Senior took team honors with a 177 and was paced by low medalist Caden Musgrove's 39.
Mason Halfin carded a 42 as Philip Barbour placed second with a 210. Brayden Cole added a 50, Sara Simon and Grant Schola 59s and Landon Wilmoth a 63.
Robert C. Byrd was fourth with a 246 and was led by Jacob Brannon's 57.
The Tigers also competed at Stonewall Jackson last week, turning in a second-place showing among three Big 10 teams.
Miller had a low-medalist score of 39 to lead Elkins, which had a team-total 222.
North Marion placed first with a 177, while Lewis County was third with a 229.
Elkins was scheduled to compete at Preston on Tuesday.
