DAVIS -- The Davis & Elkins men outpaced the competition in the Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational held recently at Canaan Valley.
The Senators, playing in the event named for their former coach, finished with a 16-under part total of 560.
Sean Addie led the way for D&E with a record-breaking performance. He set a new program, 36-hole scoring record of 11-under par thanks to stellar rounds of 64 and 69 on his way to individual medalist honors.
For his performance, Addie was named Mountain East Conference co-Player of the Week.
Also finishing in the top 15 for the Senators were Jack Coleman eighth (73, 69), Evan Lewis (70, 72) and Matin Eisa (69-73), who tied for 9th, and Jack Harlen-Robertson tied for 12th (75, 68).
Glenville State placed second among the 12 teams competing.
The Senator women finished second with a team score of 682 and were led by Lucrezia Speranza, who set an18-hole program scoring record of 72 in round two and finished with a a two-day total 155 in placing runner-up.
The Lady Senators' Dorothy Romanek also finished in the top 10 with a two-day total of 168.
West Virginia Wesleyan comfortably won the women's event with a two-day total of 642. The Lady Bobcats were led by Carleigh Bolyard's two-day total of 152 for medalist honors.
The Senator men were set to be in the Stonewall Invitational on Monday and Tuesda of this week, while the D&E women will compete at Bridgeport Country Club today.
