EMS girls earn win at B-UMS

TENNERTON -- The Elkins Middle School volleyball team defeated Buckhannon-Upshur 2-1 (25-14, 22-25, 25-15) on Wednesday night.

Maura O'Neil had four attacks, Maddy Zirkle three and Jayla Reams two for the Lady Hornets, who are now 9-3.

Madison Shreve, Hannah Currence, Maddy Zirkle, Reams and O'Neil led in serves.

"It was a tough atmosphere and the girls played hard and worked together as a team," EMS coach Bobby Reams said.

Reams added Jasmin and Jaden Workman also tallied great saves off the bench.

The Lady Hornets visit Robert L. Bland today.
