‘Brawl’ takes place tonight in the Coliseum
Pitt and WVU clash for 188th meeting in hoops

WVU and coach Bob Huggins host Pitt tonight in the 188th meeting between the schools on the court.
MORGANTOWN -- West Virginia and Pitt renew the latest chapter of the "Backyard Brawl" on the court this evening inside the Coliseum.
Game time is set for 8:30 p.m. and the action will be televised on ESPNU. The contest is sold out.
While the Mountaineers got past visiting Oakland, 60-53, in their opener on Tuesday night, the Panthers suffered a 78-63 home loss to The Citadel to begin the campaign.
Pitt was led by John Hugley's 27 points in the setback. The 6-foot-9, 280-pound sophomore also grabbed 10 rebounds. Sophomore guard Femi Odukale chipped in 20 points.
"They've got great size and their guards are big," WVU coach Bob Huggins said of the Panthers. "I think (Pitt coach) Jeff (Capel) has done a great job of putting that team together."
The new-look Mountaineers, who lost three starters from last year's 19-10 NCAA tourney squad, had two returning familiar faces lead the way against Oakland.
Senior guard Taz Sherman tossed in 18 points and backcourt classmate Sean McNeil tallied 11.
Sherman and McNeil were joined in Tuesday's starting lineup by forwards Jalen Bridges and Isaiah Cottrell and guard Kedrian Johnson.
Gabe Osabuohien added a team-high nine rebounds and six points off the bench, while newcomer Dimon Carrgian six points, four rebounds and three blocked shots.
Huggins stressed improving board work for his squad this week after it was outrebounded, 48-33, by Oakland.
