ELKINS -- The Elkins High School swim teams claimed wins over Notre Dame on Wednesday night.
The EHS girls defeated the Lady Irish, 116-30, while the Tigers took a 101-30 victory.
First-place finishers for the Lady Tigers were the 200-yard medley relay of Joslyn DeWeese, Isabelle Judy, Rachel Shryock and Kaleigh Edwards in a time of 2:11.90, Shryock in the 200 freestyle (2:15.21) and 50 freestyle (27.31), DeWeese in the 100 butterfly (1:16.51), Anna Crumm in the 500 freestyle (7:06.83), the 200 freestyle relay of Judy, Ruby Jackson, Edwards and Shryock in a time of 1:59.69, Braelynn Sparks in the 100 backstroke (1:26.87), Judy in the 100 breaststroke (1:24.81) and the 400 freestyle relay of DeWeese, Crumm, Jackson and Edwards in 4:48.07
EHS boys placing first included the 200 medley relay of Braxton Kenney, Isaac Anger, Luke Anger and Charlie Smoak in a time of 1:54.75, Smoak in the 200 freestyle (2:22.62), Izaak Whetsell in the 200 IM (2:44.34), Isaac Anger in the 50 freestyle (22.94) and 100 breaststroke (1:03.29), Luke Anger in the 100 butterfly (1:00.77), the 200 freestyle relay of Luke Anger, Smoak, Whetsell and Isaac Anger in 1:41.88, Luke Anger in the 100 backstroke (1:09.05) and the 400 freestyle relay of Kenney, Evan Barnett, Smoak and Whetsell in a time of 4:27.52.
