FRANKLIN -- Class A, No. 8 Pendleton County held off a fourth-quarter rally by Moorefield in posting a 70-67 win Wednesday night in PVC action.
The Wildcats (16-3) led 50-40 after the third quarter before the Yellow Jackets claimed the fourth frame, 27-20.
Cole Day fired in 29 points to lead Pendleton County, followed by Clayton Kisamore with 17, Tanner Townsend with 11 and Jacob Beachler with 10.
Coleman Mongold took game-high scoring honors for Moorefield with 30 points, hitting six 3-pointers on the night. Dean Keplinger added 16.
The Wildcats remain home at 7 p.m. today to face Harman.
