PHILIPPI -- Robert C. Byrd utilized a 15-hit attack en route to a 16-4 win over Philip Barbour in six innings Monday night in Big 10 Conference play.
Brayden Thomason led the Flying Eagles, going 3 for 4 and driving in four runs.
Nick George, Nathaniel Junkins and Rylan Rock added three RBIs each and Tanner Cook drove in a pair.
The Colts trailed 5-1 before plating a pair runs in the third on a two-run single by Jayden Herron.
RCB answered with four runs in the fourth, however, to take control and build a 9-3 cushion.
George's two-run double highlighted the frame.
The visitors tacked on seven runs in the sixth as the game concluded after the bottom of the sixth inning due to the 10-run rule.
Tyler Sisson, Jesiah Matlick and Nick Gonzales had two hits apiece for Philip Barbour.
Gonzales and Matlick also had RBI singles.
Junkins went the distance to earn the win. He gave up 10 hits, struck out six and walked two.
Miles Hutzler started and went the first 3 1/3 innings in being saddled with the loss, allowing eight runs on 11 hits and fanning three.
Matlick, Grant Harris and Mason Halfin finished in relief.
The Colts (10-6, 8-5 Big 10) will visit the Flying Eagles at 5 p.m. Wednesday for a rematch.
RCB improved to 14-5 and 10-1 and travel to University at 5 p.m. today for a non-conference encounter.
