PHILIPPI -- Philip Barbour dented the scoreboard for four runs in the fifth inning in taking a 6-2 win over Tucker County on Monday night.
With the game tied at 2-2, Makayla Gonzales cracked an RBI single and Hailee Poling and Katie Kennedy added two-run doubles in the decisive fifth frame.
The Lady Colts took a 1-0 lead in the first when Sara Simon hit a two-out triple to deep right and Avery McDaniel followed with a single up the middle.
The Lady Mountain Lions tied the game in the second on an error.
In the fourth, Kate Simmons' delivered a run-producing single to give Tucker County a 2-1 cushion.
A solo homer by Simon, who had three hits in the game, again knotted the score in the bottom of the inning.
Ava Shaffer, Paige Shaffer and Simmons all had two hits apiece for the Lady Mountain Lions.
Simon worked four scoreless innings of relief to earn the win, allowing three hits and striking out eight.
McDaniel went the first three frames, giving up two runs on five hits and fanning three.
Ava Shaffer took the loss in 4 2/3 innings. She gave up six runs on nine hits and struck out a pair.
Philip Barbour (8-1) will visit Bridgeport at 5 p.m. today for a Big 10 Conference matchup.
Tucker County (4-5) is scheduled to entertain Keyser at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
