Kisamore goes six strong innings; Biller drives in pair in 5-2 win

ELKINS -- Mason Kisamore scattered four hits over six innings and Cameron Biller drove in a pair of runs as Elkins Post 29 opened the season with a 5-2 win over Moundsville in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader Wednesday evening at EHS Field.
Kisamore gave up two runs and fanned seven.
Matthew Pratt worked the seventh, working around a two-out walk, to earn the save.
Post 29 led 2-1 before plating three runs in the fourth.
Cody Cooper led off the frame with a triple to right field and Kisamore drew a walk.
Biller then singled to center to plate both runners to make it 4-1 and Payton McCourt followed with a double to score Biller.
Carson Gorby added a run-producing double in the sixth for Post 3.
Luke Cramer went the first 2 1/3 innings in taking the loss. He allowed five runs on four hits, striking out two and walking one.
Cole Surtif finished in relief, not allowing a hit, fanning three and walking three.
The teams were slated to play the second game later on Wednesday night.
