BRIDGEPORT -- The Elkins Middle School boys soccer team opened the season with a 1-1 tie against Bridgeport.
The Braves took a 1-0 lead 20:00 into the match.
The Hornets answered just two minutes later when Tucker Cutright scored off a pass from Luke Valentine.
"I was proud of our effort," EMS coach Ariel Valentine said. "We are off to a good start to the season."
The Hornets will remain on the road at 7:30 p.m. Friday at East Fairmont.
