LOST CREEK -- Cam Bailey netted a pair of goals as Elkins picked up a 5-2 win over sectional foe South Harrison on Monday night.
The Tigers (2-0-0) took a 3-0 lead into the intermission on scores by Bailey, Max Jackson and Isaiah Sigley, who headed in a corner.
Bailey struck again five minutes into the second half to extend the lead to 4-0.
After the Hawks cut the lead to 4-1, Kaden George answered with 12:00 left in regulation for Elkins.
Bobby Valentine was in net for the Tigers.
"Even though we gave up two goals in the second half, we started to move the ball really well tonight," Elkins coach Scott Cutright said. "We have to turn around quick and look to get a good result at Preston."
The Tigers venture to Preston at 5:30 p.m. today for a Big 10 Conference encounter.
A girls match will follow between the two schools at approximately 7:30 p.m.
