TENNERTON -- Elkins Middle School's Julia Biola captured first at the Buckhannon-Upshur Invitational held this past Saturday.
Biola finished in a time of 13:32.93 to lead the Lady Hornets to a third-place showing.
East Fairmont placed first, followed by B-UMS, Elkins, Keyser, South Harrison and Kasson.
Madison Knabenshue was the top finishers for the Little Lady Bucs in seventh place in a time of 14:22.28.
Trevor George placed second in a time of 12:14.71 to lead the EMS boys to a fourth-place showing.
Keyser won the team title and was led by race winner Luca Altobello, who cleared the course in a time of 12:10.76.
East Fairmont was second, while B-UMS was third, Elkins fourth, Robert L. Bland fifth, Belington sixth, Lincoln seventh and Webster County eighth.
The top finisher for the Little Bucs was Kenton Stump in seventh place in a time of 13:04.77, while Jacob Burner led Belington by placing fourth with an effort of 12:42.91.
