ELKINS -- A group of Elkins High School football seniors are preparing to play their final two games.
Three of those seniors reside along the offensive line in Chase Workman (5-10, 220), Tayton Lee (6-3, 280) and Mason Swecker (6-1, 265).
Workman suffered a knee injury during the preseason but fought his way back to get into the lineup after missing some early games.
Workman, Lee and Swecker have been the anchors and leaders of the offensive line this season.
The remainder of the senior group includes Javier Rosario, Damien Strader and Zane George at the skill positions.
Rosario is one of the team's top rushers and tacklers on defense, while Strader celebrated Senior Night against Lincoln with a pair of touchdown runs.
Kicker Isaiah Sigley, meanwhile, has been solid on special teams for Elkins this season.
Sigley, also a member of the Tiger soccer team, has delivered several kickoffs for touchbacks, along with being a weapon on field goals and extra points.
Elkins will conclude the regular season on the road.
The Tigers will travel to two-time defending Class AA state champion Fairmont Senior on Thursday night at East-West Stadium.
The contest was originally scheduled to be played in Elkins but moved due the track at Tiger Stadium needing to be surfaced in time for the spring season.
Elkins was also scheduled to host No. 6 Frankfort this past Friday night.
That game was played at Ridgeley with the Tigers dropping a 50-13 verdict to the Falcons.
Nick Bowers accounted for both Elkins touchdowns -- on a kickoff return and short TD run.
The Tigers (1-7) will conclude the regular season Nov. 4 at old rival Buckhannon-Upshur.
