BAKER -- J.W. Teets scored 19 of his game-high 21 points in the second half as East Hardy rallied for a 60-53 win over Tygarts Valley on Friday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (2-1) led 29-25 at halftime and the contest was tied at 45-45 after three quarters.
"We got outworked by a hustling East Hardy team and that's my fault for not having the Bulldogs ready to play," Tygarts Valley coach Tom Wamsley said. "Give coach (Chris) Hahn of East Hardy all the credit for doing a super job."
Evan Hamilton added 16 points and Ashton Haslacker 13 for the Cougars, who improved to 4-3 on the season.
Malachi Somers had 15 points and Jordan Phillips 12 for the Bulldogs, who will travel to sectional foe Pocahontas County on Thursday.
The Cougars return to action Tuesday at Berkeley Springs.
In the junior varsity game, East Hardy claimed a 47-26 win,
Jacob Wamsley had 10 points and Ian Harris nine for the Bulldogs.
