PHILIPPI -- Philip Barbour is 4-3 this season with sophomore TD Bodkins playing a big part.
The 6-foot-5 Bodkins tallied 19 points in the Colts' 58-31 win over Preston during Christmas Mixer action at Lincoln High School on Thursday evening.
Bodkins, who is also a standout on the school's football team, missed just five of his 14 field-goal attempts in taking game-high scoring honors.
The Colts also defeated Clay-Battelle, 67-63, Wednesday in Shinnston.
They also own wins over Riverside and Herbert Hoover this season, with the losses coming to Robert C. Byrd and twice to Grafton, which advanced to the Class AAA state tournament last season.
The setbacks to the Bearcats came by five and four points, respectively, in games at Grafton.
Philip Barbour faces a major test this evening at home against Class AAA, second-ranked and undefeated Fairmont Senior for a Big 10 Conference contest.
The defending state champion Polar Bears bring a 6-0 mark into the game.
The Colts will remain at home at 7:30 p.m. Thursday for another Big 10 matchup against Liberty.
