ELKINS -- The Elkins High School swim teams hosted North Marion and Doddridge County Wednesday at George A. Myles Pool.
Earning first-place honors for the Lady Tigers were the 200 medley relay (Braelynn Sparks, Emma Ujvagi, Joslyn DeWeese and Rachel Shryock) in a time of 2:06.55, Shryock (200 freestyle, 2:08.07; and 100 backstroke, 1:08.17), DeWeese (200 IM, 2:40.68; and 100 freestyle, 1:03.71), Raighan Carte (50 freestyle, 30.35; and 500 freestyle, 6:34.86)), Ujvagi (100 freestyle, 1:08.55), the 200 freestyle relay (Ujvagi, Carte, Sparks and Shryock) in 1:56.73 and the 400 freestyle relay (DeWeese, Morgan Cox, Carte and Sparks) in 4:37.56.
Garnering firsts for the EHS boys were the 200 medley relay (Andres Masten, Ashton White, Isaac Anger and Evan Barnett) in 2:00.40, Anger (200 freestyle, 1:48.99; and 500 freestyle, 5:09.87), Barnett (200 IM, 2:55.90), White (50 freestyle, 26.35; and 100 breaststroke, 1:19.91), Masten (100 freestyle, 1:00.84; and 100 backstroke, 1:09.66), the 200 freestyle relay (Anger, Barnett, Masten and White) in 1:45.35 and the 400 freestyle relay (Gavin Brown, Brian Jones, Kevin Zhu and Charlie Brown) in 4:59.32.
Elkins travels to the Mylan Aquatic Center in Morgantown at noon on Saturday for a meet.
