LOST CREEK -- Class AA, No. 4 South Harrison pulled away in the second half to earn a 58-45 win over Tygarts Valley Tuesday evening at Weber-Wamsley Court.

The Bulldogs (7-3) led 11-9 after one quarter and trailed 26-22 at halftime.

The Hawks (13-1) claimed the third frame, 12-8, to lead 38-30 after three quarters.

South Harrison then took control in the fourth behind Corey Boulden, who tallied 10 of his game-high 18 points in the frame.

"I really was impressed with our effort through the first three quarters," TV coach Tom Wamsley said. "We wore down a little in the fourth and made a few mental errors.

"Like all great teams, South Harrison took advantage of about every mental mistake we made."

Noah Burnside chipped in 11 and Caden Davis 10 for the Hawks.

Kaden Moore bucketed 12 and Ethan McGee added 11 for the Bulldogs.

In JV play, Tygarts Valley claimed a 43-36 win as Jacob Wamsley scored 15, Ian Harris 11 and Kendall Armstrong 10.

The Bulldogs remain home on Thursday to battle Class A, No. 8 and sectional foe Pendleton County for a key matchup.
