CLARKSBURG -- The Elkins Middle School boys split games against Mountaineer on Thursday.
The Hornets fell in the varsity game, 47-29. Devin Hulver paced EMS with seven points and Owen Stanley added six.
Tristan Swiger had 13 and Tommy Hickman 12 for the hosts.
Riker Chewning bucketed seven points to lead the Hornets to a 23-20 victory in the JV game.
Riley Davis tallied five points in the loss.
TVMS boys win
GREEN BANK -- Tygarts Valley swept Green Bank on Thursday.
The Bulldogs used 14 points from Adam Woods, 12 from Parker Bell and 11 from Jarin Young to take the varsity game, 54-37.
Griffin Taylor fired in 21 points for Green Bank.
TVMS won the junior varsity contest, 32-18, as Cooper Markley scored 12 and Jacob Price and Jacob Riddle six each.
James Smith paced Green Bank with 12 points.
