TV boys split games with ranked teams

MILL CREEK — Tygarts Valley split a pair of games against Class A ranked teams over the weekend at Weber-Wamsley Court, falling to sectional foe and No. 8 Pendleton County, 53-43, on Saturday night and dealing No. 6 Doddridge County a 69-54 setback on Friday.

Josiah Kimble fired in 23 points to lead the Wildcats (8-4) to the win on Saturday.

Clayton Kisamore chipped in 15 for Pendleton County, which is now 8-4 and hosts Petersburg this evening.

Carter Patterson paced the Bulldogs with 11 points. Kaden Moore added seven rebounds, Malachi Somers five boards and three assists and Ashton Workman two blocks.

The Wildcats won the JV contest, 50-39, as Cashton Kisamore tallied 20 points and Henry Warner 16.

Kendall Armstrong had 12 for the Bulldogs

On Friday night, TV cruised to a 69-54 win over Doddridge County as Ethan McGee fired in 21 points, Ezra Scott 11 and Moore 10.

Workman added 10 rebounds and Jordan Phillips seven assists and five steals.

Jacob Dehaven led Doddridge (9-5) with 14, followed by Jarod Trent and Brandon Hileman with 11 each.

TV lost the JV game, 50-36. Armstrong had 23 and Jacob Wamsley added nine.

Tygarts Valley (8-4) returns to action this evening at Clay-Battelle.
