MOOREFIELD -- Three players reached double figures as top-seed Petersburg captured the Class AA, Region II, Section 1 title with a 45-41 victory over No. 2 Frankfort Friday night at Moorefield High School.
The Lady Viking -- winners of three straight sectional crowns -- will now face section 2 runner-up Braxton County at 7 p.m. Tuesday in a co-regional final with a berth to the state tourney on the line.
Braylee Corbin led Petersburg with 16 points, followed by Abby Alt and Nellie Whetzel with 11 apiece.
The Lady Vikings (13-9) led 20-17 at halftime and 31-25 after three quarters.
Arin Lease had 15 points and Larae Grove 13 to pace the Lady Falcons, who will visit Trinity in the other co-regional final.
