FRANKLIN -- Clayton Kisamore and Chase Owens combined for 44 points to lead top-seed Pendleton County to a 67-50 win over No. 2 Tygarts Valley Friday night in the Class A, Region II, Section 2 title game.
Kisamore finished with 23 points and Owens 21 for the Wildcats, who led 42-25 at halftime. Jacob Beachler added 13.
The Bulldogs battled in the third, cutting the deficit to 51-39 entering the fourth quarter.
"We closed the gap in the second half but just couldn't hit the clutch shots," TV coach Tom Wamsley said.
Ethan McGee led the Bulldogs with 15. Kaden Moore added 10.
Tygarts Valley will travel to the winner of today's section 1 title game between East Hardy and Tucker County at 7 p.m. on Thursday in co-regional final play, while the Wildcats will host the loser.
