PHILIPPI -- Philip Barbour tallied seven runs in the first inning en route to a 13-1 win over Tucker County in five innings on Tuesday evening.

The Colts sent 11 batters to the plate during the uprising, with Nick Gonzales cracking a two-run double, Andrew D'Angelo an RBI double, Alfred Isch, Tyler Sisson and Kale Wolfe run-scoring singles and Brayden Cole being hit with the bases loaded.

Cole singled home a run in the second to extend the lead to 8-0.

The Mountain Lions tallied their lone run in the third when Blaike Adams hit a one-out infield single, moved to second on a balk and raced all the way home on Maddox Anderson's groundout.

Gonzales picked up his third RBI of the night in the fourth with a single, Isch delivered an RBI double and Mason Halfin crossed two runs with his double to center to make it 12-1.

The Colts added an unearned run in the fourth to finish the scoring.

Three pitcher combined on a two-hitter for Philip Barbour.

Halfin worked the first 2 2/3 innings for the win, allowing one hit and one run with four strikeouts.

Cole and Grant Harris closed in relief. Harris had two strikeouts on two frames of action.

Isch finished with three hits in collecting two RBIs in the victory, while Gonzales, Halfin and Sisson added two apiece.

Mason Kisamore and Anderson both singled for Tucker County.

Reese Poling took the loss on the hill.

The Colts (11-9) remain home at 6 p.m. today to face Notre Dame.

The Mountain Lions (3-11) are also in action at 6 p.m. today at home against Petersburg.

Lincoln 9, Elkins 3

SHINNSTON -- Lincoln rallied for five runs in the fourth inning to claim a 9-3 victory over Elkins Tuesday night in Big 10 Conference play.

The Tigers led 2-0 before the Cougars took the lead for good in the fourth.

Brock Delrio had two RBIs and Lance Hostuttler three hits to lead Lincoln.

Elkins was limited to four hits, with Jaxon Drennen collecting an RBI sacrifice fly and Cameron Biller cracking a double.

Biller took the loss in four innings of work, fanning six. Drennen finished in relief, striking out three.

The Tigers (3-17) host Philip Barbour at 5 p.m. on Friday.
