WESTON — The Elkins Middle School baseball team broke a 6-6 tie with five runs in the seventh inning in an 11-6 victory over Robert L. Bland on Monday night.

Brayden Biller drove in two runs for the Hornets, while Owen Stanley had an RBI double and two hits and Trent Stone, Blayne Thompson and Dyer Barger each scored twice.

Dreyton Boggs earned the win in 2 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on three hits and fanning three.

Stanley went the first 4 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out nine.

Elkins (5-2) entertains Pendleton County at 6 p.m. Thursday.
