ELKINS -- The Elkins Middle School softball team lost an 18-3 decision to Lincoln in three innings Tuesday at Betty Heckel Field.
Gabby Mahanes had a bases-learing double for the Lady Hornets. Addison Carr, Audrey Millett and Hannah Helmick added hits.
Carr took the loss on the hill. Aubrey Currence finished in relief.
Adriana Elder went all three innings to earn the win, striking out six.
Reese Bennett had a pair of RBIs for Lincoln, which scored eight runs in the first, two in the second and eight in the third.
