MILL CREEK -- A pair of five-run innings propelled Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School to a 12-8 victory over Tygarts Valley on Wednesday night.
The Little Bucs, who plated five runs in each of the first two innings, were led Jaxon Spratt with three RBIs.
Xavier Robinette and Gavin Moody added two RBIs each, while Brody McDaniels, Spratt, Bryar Sandy and Aidan Squires all added two hits apiece.
The Bulldogs trailed 12-3 before plating five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Noah McAtee had a three-run triple in the sixth and Caleb Teter drew a bases-loaded walk.
Preston Smith, McAtee, Levi Slawter and Hunter Wratchford accounted for Tygarts Valley's hits on the night.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to action at 6 p.m. Friday at home against Barbour County.
Buckhannon-Upshur (5-2) will visit Tucker Valley at 6 p.m. today.
