PARSONS -- Tucker County pounded out 11 hits in claiming a 14-13 win over Trinity Christian on Thursday night.
The Mountain Lions trailed 1-0 before plating four runs in the third as Nate Ricottilli lofted an RBI sacrifice fly, another run crossed on an error and Sam Marks cracked a two-run double.
But the Warriors answered with six runs of their own an inning later to go in front 7-4.
Parker Hopkins had a two-run double to lead the uprising, while Ryan Parker singled in a pair and two runs scored on errors.
Tucker County drew even in the home-half of the frame on a Trinity error and a two-run double by Mason Kisamore.
In the fifth, the Mountain Lions pushed six runs across to take a 13-7 lead as Reece Poling had a run-producing pinch-hit double, Blaike Adams and Justin Robeson RBI singles, and Reid Kisamore a two-run double.
Trinity added a pair of unearned runs in the sixth but the hosts answered in the bottom of the inning on a Reid Kisamore RBI double.
Trinity threatened in the seventh when Parker drove in a pair on a double, Trenton Timperio lofted an RBI sacrifice fly and another run scored on an error to cut the lead to 14-13.
But Poling got a groundout with the tying run on second base to end the game.
Ricottilli, Mason Kisamore and Reid Kisamore all finished with three RBIs in the win. Marks added a pair on his third-inning double.
Poling went three innings of relief to earn the win.
Parker finished with four RBIs for Trinity.
The Mountain Lions (1-4) are scheduled -- weather permitting -- to visit Parkersburg Catholic at 1 p.m. today for a doubleheader.
Pendleton 14, Tucker 3
PARSONS -- Three Pendleton County pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts in a 14-3 win over Tucker County Wednesday in Potomac Valley Conference play.
Freshman Chase Owens worked the first three innings to earn the win, allowing one run on four hits and fanning seven.
Clayton Kisamore went three frames, giving up two runs on four hits with five strikeouts and Cameron Beachler one scoreless inning with one strikeout.
James Vincell had four RBIs at the plate for the Wildcats, while Landon Colaw, Cameron Beachler and Brayden Beachler each had two RBIs.
Owens, Vincell and Brayden Beachler all had two hits.
Kisamore, Vincell and Cameron Beachler added doubles.
Mason Kisamore was 2 for 3 with three RBIs for the Mountain Lions.
Five different players saw time on the hill for Tucker County.
Pendleton County will visit Pocahontas County on Monday.
