Philip Barbour takes 14-4 win over Tigers

ELKINS -- Philip Barbour picked up a 14-4 win over Elkins Friday night in Big 10 Conference action at Elkins High School Field.
The Tigers honored six seniors during the night -- Cameron Biller, Gavin Carr, Gage Huffman, Nick Cooper, Ryan Hare and Cole Shreve.
Biller had RBI singles in each of the fifth and seventh innings and Cooper drove in a run.
The Colts tallied three unearned runs off Elkins starter Jaxon Drennen in the third, and tacked on two more in the fourth on a two-run single by Miles Hutzler.
The Tigers dented the scoreboard in the home-half of the fourth on Cooper's RBI groundout and Drennen scoring on a wild pitch.
An error and two-run double by Andrew D'Angelo in the fifth gave Philip Barbour an 8-2 cushion.
Biller added his RBI single in the bottom of the frame.
The Colts blew the game open with a six-run seventh inning, with Grant Harris, Alfred Isch and Cale Wolfe collecting RBIs.
Albert Gonzales worked the first four innings to earn the win. Hutzler finished in relief.
Drennen took the loss in 4 1/3 innings, fanning seven.
Philip Barbour (13-10) returns to action at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Tucker County.
Elkins (3-19) is scheduled to host Spring Mills at 12:30 p.m. today.
Buckhannon-Upshur will then battle Spring Mills at 3 p.m.
