PHILIPPI -- Freshman Payton Holbert's walk-off RBI single lifted Philip Barbour to a dramatic 15-14 win over Liberty Thursday in Class AA, Region II, Section 1 action.
The Lady Colts tied the game at 14-14 in the seventh on two-run double by Katelyn Cooper, who later scored the game-winning run on Holbert's bases-loaded single.
Cooper had four RBIs on the night.
Holbert added a two-run homer, Avery McDaniel a solo shot and two RBIs, Preslee Fincham two RBIs and Katielynn Warner a pair of doubles for Philip Barbour.
Charlee Johnson had a three-run homer and Makiah Ford three RBIs for the Lady Mountaineers.
