Bucs, Colts each place two on Big 10 first team
Elkins’ Biller earns spot on second unit
ELKINS — Buckhannon-Upshur and Philip Barbour each placed two players on the all-Big 10 Conference first team.
Landon Marple (outfield) and Zach Calef-Boring (pitcher) were selected for the Bucs, while Alfred Isch (utility) and Tyler Sisson (catcher) earned honors for the Colts.
Selected to the second team were Elkins’ Cameron Biller (pitcher) and B-U’s Payton Bennett (outfield).
The remainder of the first team includes Lewis County’s Joey Aman (outfield), Fairmont Senior’s Cameron Peschl (outfield), Dom Barone (outfield), Gunner Riley (infield), Brody Whitehair (infield) and Hayden Jones (pitcher), Bridgeport’s Andrew Bell (pitcher), Grafton’s Dustin Keener (infield), Lincoln’s Lance Hostuttler (infield), East Fairmont’s Danny Raddish (first base) and Robert C. Byrd’s Nick George (infield).
Other second-team choices were Bridgeport’s Phil Reed (catcher) and Zach Rohrig (infield), Lewis County’s Zach James (outfield), Brayden Carter (infield), Trenton Hunt (infield) and Grant Mealey (infield), RCB’s Bryce Bird (outfield), East Fairmont’s Carter Brown (infield) and Owen Music (pitcher), Preston’s Brady McNew (first base), Liberty’s Cooper Floyd (outfield), Fairmont Senior’s Logan Canfield (utility) and Grafton’s Cole Mooney (pitcher).
North Marion’s Cole Malnick was named the league’s Player of the Year, East Fairmont’s Connor Tingler the Pitcher of the Year and Fairmont Senior’s Dave Ricer the Coach of the Year.
The teams were voted on by the Big 10’s coaches and administrators.
