ELKINS -- Addy Cogar tallied four goals to power Elkins to an 8-0 win over Liberty Thursday night in Big 10 Conference action at Tiger Stadium.

Cogar scored the first three goals of the game for the Lady Tigers over an 8- minute span.

Hailey Doyle tallied the next two scores, and Allison Lindsay added another with 10 minutes left in the first half as Elkins took a 6-0 advantage into the intermission break.

Cogar and Audrina Shelton added second-half goals for the hosts.

"This was another good result against a conference opponent," Elkins coach Scott Cutright said. "I was very proud of the girls tonight."

Cutright said he hopes his team can keep the momentum going into a key contest on Saturday.

"We have to quickly turn our attention to a very good Herbert Hoover team on Saturday," he said. "This is a massive sectional match-up game that could determine the top seed for the (sectional) tournament.

"We have to be focused and ready to be at our best."

The Lady Tigers (3-1) and Lady Huskies square off at 1 p.m. Saturday at Tiger Stadium.

Meanwhile, the EHS boys game against Notre Dame scheduled for Thursday night was postponed.

The Tigers will host Herbert Hoover at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
