PHILIPPI -- Tristan Whited tallied a pair of goals to lead the Elkins Middle School boys to a 4-0 win over Barbour County on Monday.
Dyer Barger provided assists on Whited's goals, while Major Chewning had an unassisted goal and Samuel Belan scored off a pass from Benson Fortney for the Hornets, who are now 3-2-1.
The Lady Hornets (1-4-1) lost a 1-0 verdict as Barbour County tallied a goal late in regulation.
Both EMS squads will be home on Thursday against Taylor County, with the girls taking the field first at 6 p.m.
