B-U soccer players earn all-state honors

TENNERTON -- Buckhannon-Upshur soccer players have earned honors on the WVHSSCA Class AAA all-state teams.

The Bucs' Riel Figueroa and Christian Dowell received honorable-mention laurels.

Figueroa is a freshman forward, while Dowell a junior midfielder.

Hannah Boyles was also an honorable-mention choice for the Lady Bucs, who captured the sectional title this season for the first time since 2012.

Boyles is a junior midfielder.
