Senators earn win over Panthers as Starks nets 24 points

ELKINS -- Tristan Starks fired in 24 points to lead Davis & Elkins to an 85-80 win over Ohio Dominican Wednesday night in the home opener at the McDonnell Center.

Starks was joined in double figures by Sam Rolle V (13), Clarens Pierre (12) and Charleston Ponds (10).

The Senators (2-1) led 36-32 at halftime.

Rolle added eight assists and three steals and Ponds grabbed 11 rebounds for a double-double.

Sean McKitrick had a team-high 24 points and Luke Ruth 14 points for Ohio Dominican.

Parker Swartz added 10 points off the bench.

D&E will begin Mountain East Conference action at 4 p.m. Saturday at home against Frostburg State.
