Area players earn all-conference honors

ELKINS -- Postseason conference honors for high school football were recently announced.

Area players selected to the all-Big 10 team, which is broken down into Large Division and Small Division, included Elkins' Nick Bowers (utility) and Aiden Lambert (OL) and Buckhannon-Upshur's Wyatt Morris (RB), Ryan Kelley (OL), Carter Zuliani (DL) and Chase Hackett (utility) in the Large Division and Philip Barbour's Nate Hulver (RB), Cameron Bennett (WR), Keaton "Beef" McDermott (OL), Ayden Bremigan (OL), Kaden Humphreys (utility), John McGee (DL), Ivan Johnson (DL), T.D. Bodkins (DL) and Drew Morral (DB) in the Small Division.

Tucker County, which advanced to the Class A state semifinals, placed Gavin Mullenax (OL, DL), Owen Knotts (OL, DE), Jared Reall (RB, LB), Garrett Wilfong (WR, LB), Maddox Anderson (WR, DB), Blaike Adams (WR, DB) and Ethan Rosenau (QB) on the all-Potomac Valley Conference first team.

Rosenau was the PVC Offensive Player of the Year, Reall shared Defensive Player of the Year honors with Petersburg's Josh Biggs and the Mountain Lions' A.J. Rapp was the Coach of the Year.

Tygarts Valley players earning all-Mason-Dixon laurels included Seth Currence (DT), Kaiden Warner (LB) and Gavin Martin (DE) on the first team and Zeb Felton (LB), Aiden Phares (safety), Jaxon Drennen (QB) and Adam Woods (RB) on the second unit.
