BRIDGEPORT -- The Elkins girls swam to first in a meet held last Friday at The Bridge Sports Complex.
The Lady Tigers tallied 94 points, followed by Bridgeport (45) and Buckhannon-Upshur (21).
Bridgeport won the boys race 119 points. Elkins (29) was second, Notre Dame (7) third and B-U (4) fourth.
First-place finishers for the EHS girls included Rachel Shryock, Emmy Ujvagi, Lilly Irons and Lilly Anger in the 200-yard medley relay (1:59.12) and 400 freestyle relay (3:54.48), Ujvagi (200 IM, 2:25.77), Shryock (50 freestyle, 26.02; 500 freestyle, 5:36.69),), Anger (100 freestyle, 56.68; 100 breaststroke, 1:17.32)), the 200 freestyle relay of Leah Ours, Sophia Hornick, Raighan Carte and Emily Durst (1:53.23) and Hurst (100 backstroke, 1:11.28).
Isaac Anger captured first in in the 200 freestyle (1:50.34) and 100 breaststroke (1:00.66) for the EHS boys.
Elkins will host Charleston Catholic at 6 p.m. next Wednesday.
