Corley and Lady Tigers off to 5-2 start
Senior nearing 800 points for her Lady Tiger career

ELKINS -- Gracelin Corley and the Elkins High School girls basketball team are off to a 5-2 start this season.
The Lady Tigers had an impressive showing in last week's Winter Classic in Summersville, defeating Spring Mills and Greenbrier West -- both squads that were ranked in the preseason poll.
Corley continues to climb up the EHS career-scoring ladder as the senior point guard is nearing 800 points during her playing time for the Lady Tigers.
Corley is averaging 24 points per game and fired in 23 in each game of the Winter Classic.
Corley, who also played goalie for the EHS soccer team, has garnered numerous postseason honors during her career.
She has earned Class AAA all-state honors, as well as being an All-Big 10 Conference selection in one of the toughest leagues in the state.
Five Big 10 schools were ranked in The Associated Press preseason poll, including North Marion and Philip Barbour, who played in the state title game last year.
Elkins travels to Lincoln, which was ranked 10th in the preseason, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The Lady Tigers will then entertain Hampshire on Saturday afternoon in their first home game in nearly a month, before visiting North Marion on Jan. 9 and hosting Fairmont Senior on Jan. 11.
