Lady Colts rally for victory over Lady Huskies

PBHS captures rematch of last year’s title tilt

PHILIPPI -- In their first meeting since battling for the Class AAA title back in March, No. 4 Philip Barbour rallied in the second half to defeat No. 6 North Marion, 59-54, Thursday night in Big 10 Conference action.

The Lady Colts, who lost to the Lady Huskies in last year's title, led 17-14 with 6:30 left in the second quarter after the game was tied at 10-10 after one quarter.

North Marion them embarked on a 11-2 run to build a 25-19 cushion with 2:19 left until halftime.

Two late 3-pointers from LaDonna Herron allowed Philip Barbour to cut the deficit to 32-28 at halftime.

The Lady Colts then outscored the Lady Huskies, 31-27, over the final two quarters to pull away.

Philip Barbour upped its record to 9-1 on the season.
