Pendleton falls to Petersburg

PETERSBURG — Pendleton County lost a 57-43 verdict to Petersburg in the title game of the Petersburg Holiday Tournament on Saturday night.

Wyatt Franklin had 13 points, Josiah Kimble 11 and Chase Owens 10 for the Wildcats, who had defeated Moorefield, 52-43, on Friday.

Owens had 19 and Kimble 17 against the Yellow Jackets, who were led by Ronny Greist’s 22 points.

Peyton Tingler fired in 24 points for the Vikings, followed by Carter Hardy and Trace Rohrbaugh with 10 each.

The teams play against Saturday in Petersburg.
