ELKINS -- The Elkins Middle School junior varsity squad completed an undefeated season with a 51-37 win over Robert L. Bland last week.
The Hornets, who went 13-0, were led by Kyan George with 16 points, followed by Ryan James with seven and Ryker Chewning with six.
Drenden Richards had eight points and Isaac Pickens seven for the Patriots.
The EMS varsity team suffered a 41-23 setback to Robert L. Bland.
Major Chewning had five points and Kaden Marcum and Carter Alfred added four each for the Hornets.
Hayden Brown led the Patriots with 11 points, followed by Kaleb Pascasio with eight.
The Elkins Middle School varsity squad was slated to begin conference tournament action against Notre Dame Monday night at Mountaineer Middle School.
