PETERSBURG -- Petersburg defeated Braxton County, 62-36, in Class AA, Region II co-final action on Wednesday night.
The Lady Vikings (15-9) are the seventh seed in next week's state tournament at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center and will face second-seed Williamstown at 1 p.m. Thursday in quarterfinal action.
Miley Tingler had 18 points, Nellie Whetzel 14, Addison Kitzmiller 12 and Abby Alt 10 to pace Petersburg, which led 31-21 at halftime.
Erica Nicholson led the Lady Eagles, who ended the season, 10-15, with 14.
