PB’s T.D. Bodkins enters record books
Becomes just sixth player in school history to reach 1,000 points

PHILIPPI -- Philip Barbour two-sport standout T.D. Bodkins entered the school's record books during Monday night's game against Big 10 Conference foe Lincoln.
The 6-foot-5 forward netted his 1,000th-career point during the Colts' 80-68 setback to the Cougars.
Only a junior, Bodkins has another season to climb of Philip Barbour's all-time scoring list.
Bodkins earned Class AAA all-state honorable mention laurels as a sophomore and has led the Colts in scoring the past two season, averaging over 20 points per game and nearly double figures in rebounds.
He is not only a weapon inside the paint, but can step outside and provide another 3-point weapon for Philip Barbour and head coach Marcus Johnson.
Bodkins also excels in football for the Colts.
This past season, he helped Philip Barbour make school history with its first-ever win in the playoffs, defeating Mingo Central in the first round.
Bodkins played defensive line and tight end-receiver for the Colts, who also set a school record for wins in the fall.
Bodkins was also a threat with his athletic ability on offense, both with his pass-catching abilities or when called to run the ball.
He earned all-state honorable mention laurels as well on the gridiron and was selected to the Big 10 Conference first team.
On the hardwood, Philip Barbour hopes to be at full strength when the start of postseason play begins next week with sectional tournament play.
Philip Barbour was scheduled to host Robert C. Byrd on Tuesday night for a Big 10 Conference game.
That game was postponed, however, after the tragic death of a Harrison County teacher Tuesday morning at Liberty High School.
