PARSONS -- Tucker County dropped a 9-4 verdict to Southern (Md.) Wednesday evening at Camp Kidd.
Rachel Felton, Katie Hicks, Peyton Hicks and Sutton Pase each had two hits for the Lady Mountain Lions, while Brianna Gooden, Peyton Hicks and Pase collected RBIs.
Pase finished with a pair of doubles and Katie Hicks added another.
Ava Shaffer worked 3 2/3 innings in taking the loss. She gave up five runs on three hits and struck out six.
Miranda Martin had three RBIs to lead the Lady Rams, who held a slim 5-4 lead before plating four runs in the sixth inning.
Bailey Schmidt went the distance to earn the win, surrendering four earned runs on nine hits and fanning three.
Tucker County (0-3) visits East Hardy at 5 p.m. Friday for a Potomac Valley Conference contest.
