GRAFTON -- The Elkins High School bounced back from its first loss of the season by capturing a Big 10 Conference quad-match Wednesday at Tygart Lake.

The Tigers finished with a team-score of 162.

Fairmont Senior (165), Grafton (178) and Philip Barbour (182) rounded out the field.

Elkins' Lucas D'Angelo carded a 36 to take low-medalist honors, followed by Drew Hinzman (41), Dylan Hinzman (42) and Luca Collier (43).

"We took three wins today and bounced back nicely after our last match (Tuesday at Preston)," EHS coach Dave Baird said. "Lucas' putting today was much better than at Preston."

Jacob Gray led the Colts with a 43, while Tristan Wolford had a 40 for the Polar Bears and Corbin Knotts a 42 for the Bearcats.

On Tuesday, the Tigers dropped a two-stroke decision (168-170) at Preston.

Dylan Hinzman carded a 40, Drew Hinzman a 42 and D'Angelo and Collier 44s for Elkins.

"Some our guys struggled at the beginning and others struggled putting on the green," Baird said.
