Bucs fall to Senior; Colts, TV cruise

TENNERTON -- Class AAA, top-rated Fairmont Senior cruised to a 55-0 win over Buckhannon-Upshur Friday night at Freal "Red" Crites Memorial Stadium.

The Polar Bears (6-0) finished with over 500 yards of total offense as quarterback Brody Whitehair threw for three scores and ran for another.

Fairmont Senior led 21-0 after one quarter on TD receptions from Cannon Dinger and Jeff Cowger, and a 28-yard run by Chris Wilson.

Brock Martin hauled in a touchdown grab and Whitehair ran for another in the second quarter.

The Bucs (0-6) travel to Lewis County next Friday.

Philip Barbour 47

Berkeley Springs 14

BERKELEY SPRINGS -- Logan Beam rushed for 104 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns to lead Class AA, No. 8 Philip Barbour to a 47-14 win over Berkeley Springs.

Patrick Webster set the tone early for the Colts, returning the opening kickoff 82 yards.

Cam Bennett hit Malachi Poling for 77 yards on a reverse pass for a score in the first half as well.

Mason Jones and quarterback Braylyn Edwards also found the end zone for Philip Barbour, which improved to 4-2 and will be idle until visiting Robert C. Byrd on Oct. 18.

TV 47, Richwood 22

RICHWOOD -- Jaxon Drennen had three touchdowns passing and ran for a 60-yard score as Tygarts Valley won its second straight game with a 47-22 victory over Richwood on Friday night.

Adam Woods added a TD reception and one on the ground, while Noah McAtee and Aiden Phares also scored TDs on the night.

The Bulldogs (2-4) host Pendleton County next Friday night.
