No. 7 WVU hosts UCF tonight

MORGANTOWN -- The No. 7 West Virginia University men's soccer team is back home today to take on UCF in Sun Belt action. Kickoff from Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m.

West Virginia enters the contest unbeaten at 6-0-3 after defeating Bucknell, 1-0, on Tuesday in Lewisburg. Graduate student Sergio Ors Navarro scored the lone goal just one minute into the contest, giving him nine on the season, fourth most in the country.

All fans are encouraged to wear white as it is the annual white out game. A signed College Cup soccer ball by head coach Dan Stratford will be raffled off and fans can also get autographs from the players after the match.

On a per game basis, the Mountaineers are third in the country in corner kicks (7.67), fourth in shots (17.11), fifth in shots on goal (7.33), and ninth in goals against average (0.667).

Redshirt-senior Marc Bonnaire has collected six shutouts this season, including three straight. He has made 14 saves on the season.

UCF is 3-2-3 on the season and are coming off a 2-1 victory over Georgia State on Sunday. The Knights were picked third in the Preseason Sun Belt Coaches Poll with Anderson Rosa being tabbed as the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

Shane Wright has made 20 saves in six games in net this season while allowing 1.50 goals per game.
