SUMMERSVILLE — Summer Lewis-Smith netted eight of her game-high 18 points in the final quarter as Tygarts Valley claimed a 47-44 win over Buffalo Monday afternoon in Winter Classic action.

The Lady Bulldogs, winners of five straight games, trailed 21-20 at halftime before outscoring the Lady Bison, 12-9, in the third frame and 15-14 in the fourth canto.

Sarah Defibaugh chipped in 10 points and Emily Smith eight for Tygarts Valley.

Alivia Luikart led Buffalo with 17, followed by Brooke Woods with 12.

The Lady Bulldogs (5-1) will entertain three-time state champion Cameron on Thursday night.
