ELKINS -- With high school basketball season officially in the books for 2024-25, postseason honors are starting to be released.
The first-ever West Virginia Schools Athletic Coaches Association all-state team has been revealed.
Elkins High School senior Levi Wanless was tabbed to the Class AAA squad, while Buckhannon-Upshur junior Jerin Westfall to the Class AAAA squad and Tucker County senior guard Trevan Bonner to the Class A unit.
East Hardy's Jordan Teets was also selected to the Class A team.
On the girls team, Elkins senior Maddie Belan (AAA), Tucker County senior Raven Matthews (A), East Hardy senior Brooklyn Tinnell (A) and Pendleton County senior Avery Townsend (A).
The all-Potomac Valley Conference Division II teams were also recently announced.
The boys team included Tucker County's Trevan Bonner and Garrett Wilfong, Pendleton County's Chase Owens and Josiah Kimble, Moorefield's Guyan Kahangirwe and Cyrus Kump and Petersburg's Payton Tingler and Caden Ours.
Tucker County's Daniel Helmick was tabbed the Coach of the Year.
The girls team included Tucker County's Raven Matthews and Mayah Gross, Petersburg's Miley Tingler, Shyane Tawney and Quenlynn Cole, Moorefield's Kerigan Bergdall and Cici Kump, Pendleton County's Avery Townsend and Pocahontas County's Allison Taylor.
Pendleton County's Donnie Kopp was named the Coach of the Year.
