Bulldogs trip Webster; Colts best Minutemen
UPPER GLADE — Four pitchers combined on a two-hitter as Tygarts Valley claimed a 7-3 win over Webster County on Thursday evening.
Jaxon Drennen, who also had three hits in the game, went the first two innings to earn the win, striking out all six batters he faced.
Ian Harris, Jacob Wamsley and Preston Smith also saw time on the hill. Wamsley recorded three strikeouts.
Drennen and Wamsley homered for the Bulldogs. Austin Teter and Austin Wilson each had two hits.
Hayden Myers had an RBI for the Highlanders.
Tygarts Valley (2-1) will play Greater Beckley Christian and host Shady Spring on Saturday.
PB 6, Lewis County 3
PHILIPPI — Landyn Carpenter had a solid outing on the mound and Grant Harris collected three hits as Philip Barbour picked up a 6-3 win over Lewis County on Thursday.
Carpenter went the first six innings, scattering three runs on six hits and fanning six. Robbie Jones pitched the seventh to earn the save.
Kale Wolfe, Harris, Tyler Sisson and Anthony Mosesso had RBIs for the Colts, who improved to 4-0 and will visit Doddridge County at noon on Saturday.
Ryder Aman had a solo homer for the Minutemen.

Tucker 20, TV 3
HUTTONSVILLE — Raven Matthews drove in four runs, including a two-run homer, to lead Tucker County to a 20-3 win over Tygarts Valley on Thursday.
Ava Shaffer earned the win, allowing four hits and striking out eight in going all three innings.
Peyton Hicks homered and added four RBIs for the Mountain Lions, while MaKenna Evans also drove in four runs.
Kailen Yokum had an RBI triple for the Lady Bulldogs.
Tucker County (2-0) visits Gilmer County this evening.
Tygarts Valley (2-2) travels to Highland County (Va.) on Monday.
