MILL CREEK -- Kendall Armstrong struck out 12 and allowed just one hit over five innings to lift Tygarts Valley to a 10-0 win over Pocahontas County on Wednesday night.
Armstrong didn't issue any walks on the evening.
The Bulldogs plated a run in the bottom of the fifth when Adam Woods scored on a wild pitch to end the game due to the 10-run mercy rule.
Tygarts Valley struck for five runs over the first three innings and tacked on four in the fourth and the single run in the fifth.
Kaden Moore tripled in Jaxon Drennen and then scored on Jacob Wamsley's double to left in the first.
Wamsley later scored on an error to make it 3-0.
Armstrong helped his cause in the third when his double to right plated Austin Teter and Austin Wilson.
Wamsley and Teter had RBI singles in the fourth, while Austin Gear cracked a two-run double.
Logan Keatley took the loss for the Warriors, allowing 10 runs on 10 hits in 4 2/3 innings. He struck out four and walked six.
Teter, Drennen and Wamsley each had two hits for the Bulldogs. R.T. Hill accounted for Pocahontas County's lone hit.
Tygarts Valley (6-3) will entertain Lincoln at noon on Saturday for a doubleheader.
