PHILIPPI -- Kale Wolfe's walk-off RBI double lifted Philip Barbour to a hard-fought 3-2 win over Elkins Tuesday night in Big 10 Conference action.
Both teams received strong pitching in the contest, with Kent Rowan going the first 5 2/3 innings for the Colts, allowing two runs on four hits and fanning 11 and the Tigers countering with Caleb McCauley, who limited PB to just one run and three hits in battling the first 4 1/3 innings and striking out six.
Elkins held a 2-0 lead before Wolfe drew a bases-loaded walk in the fifth to score Grant Harris and Tyler Sisson led off the sixth with a solo homer to center.
Robbie Jones, who earned the win in relief, retired the order in side in the top of seventh to set up Wolfe's game-winning double.
Jacob Gray singled to start the inning and Nick Gonzales reached on a bunt, with courtesy runner Slaton Harris moving to third on the play.
Wolfe then plated Slaton Harris for the winning run.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the first when Braden Cooper led off with a single and later scored on Dyer Barger's sacrifice fly to center.
They added a run in the third when Michael Love was hit-by-a-pitch with the bases loaded.
Barger took the loss in pitching the final frame.
Drew Hinzman also saw time in relief, giving up one runs on two hits in 1 2/3 innings.
The Colts (12-2) visit Petersburg on Thursday, while Elkins (3-13) visits Lewis County this evening for a Big 10 contest.
